I was at an RC Aircraft show at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force last weekend, http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123216047 and not only got sunburned myself, but saw half the freaking crowd turning red. There were so many kids there and most were not wearing protective hats, etc. and that got me thinking... Someone should sell Single Application Sunscreen Packets, sun hats, sunglasses, etc. at shows like this, at the beach near my home, at the various "Tastes of..." here in Chicago and I was wondering how much you would pay for the following products. Yes, I know it is the end of the season, but I wanted to think about organizing this over the winter so that come spring, I would be ready with not only my products and price list, but any vender licenses that are required in the areas I would be going to. I would greatly appreciate any feedback you could offer... 1. Single Application Sunscreen Towelettes w/ Insect Repellant Essential Oils: Example: SunX® Sunscreen Single-Use Lotion Towelettes, SPF 30 http://www.labsafety.com/SunX-Sunscreen-Single-Use-Lotion-Towelettes-SPF-30-Dispenser-of-50_s_83879/Sunscreen_24551010/?CID=9PP001 They cost about $1.00 each, my price, so would you pay $2.00 each for the combo of Sunscreen & Natural Insect Repellant? Would you rather have a Towelette or a packet of Cream? The Towelettes seem more convenient and it is easier to apply to babies and children. (I'm going to look for a "Baby" Towelette too, but so far they are SUPER expensive, so not worth mentioning here.) 2. Cooling Bandana Neck Wrap/Head Band. Example: Cool Downz Cooling Bandana Neck Wrap http://www.dutchguard.com/cool-downz-cooling-bandana-p-per.html I would sell for $8.00 to $10.00 each. They are full of "Water Absorbent Crystals" and if I kept them in a cooler of ice water, they would cool one down quick. They are reusable, practically forever, so it isn't a "One Time" thing. I had these in Arizona when I was younger so I know they work in 115' heat when hiking out in the desert. Would $8.00 to $10.00 be an acceptable price? (You can use them on pets too.) Great with kids who like to "Squeeze" the squishy "Crystals" inside. 3. Velcro Backed Cloth Sun Visors/Hat Example: Sun Visor Hats http://www.donedealwholesale.com/wholesale-sun-visor-hats/18192/index.aspx $4.00 each my price so $6.00 each? 4. Retro Sunglasses. Example: Wayfarer Sunglasses http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120473060918&rvr_id=136648616167&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=WXS%3F&GUID=cf73e57d1270a0b58af1dd61ffe4ed53&itemid=120473060918&ff4=263602_263622#ht_1993wt_912 $2.00 each my price, so $4.00 each? Anything else you can think of that you would buy if you were out on the beach or at an outdoor festival or show? (Other than water, soda, snacks, etc. Other people take care of those, though I would carry bottled water in my cooler with the cooling bandanas. $1.00 a bottle for water.)
